Q: I have a patient with angioedema. He is looking for a way - as natural as possible - to alleviate his angioedema when he gets a flare-up. He is currently using steroids but would rather not depend on them. Any help regarding angioedema would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

A1: This is usually a liver toxin overload issue. Get your patient to use organic natural body and home care products to reduce toxic overload. Use a liver detoxifier. I use Standard Process Cleanse (herbal) or Pekana homeopathic Detox kit (Renelix, ApoHepat, Iteres). Many other good products are available and other healers may be getting good results with them. Rather than treating the symptoms when they occur, it is better for the patient to remove the toxic burden so that episodes stop. Ester C may help when symptoms do occur. Also check for food allergies, delayed. They may not show up on standard IgE tests. Infrared sauna therapy can also help remove organic toxins. Heavy metal toxicity may contribute as well and can be tested for with oral DMPS challenge and 6 hour urine toxic metal test from Doctors Data in Chicago. This is an important symptom of toxic overload and should be dealt with to avoid more serious health challenges later on.

A2: I know of no safer and faster way than to use Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or similar meridian therapy (there are several that are effective with allergy elimination and histamine control) that uses the body's acupuncture meridians in conjunction with mental focus and affirmations to reprogram the nervous system and the hyper-reactive immune response. Relief is usually permanent. http://www.emofree.com EFT and related techniques can be used in conjunction with any other treatment. Learn it yourself and then teach it to willing clients.
