Q: I have patient, 5 yrs ago, out of the blue kidney failure. We have since found out he is has lead pipes on his 1930's farm and he is loaded w/ lead. Also MTHFR +- A1289C that is only one we know of. I think due to his age (70) his traditional doctor has basically said "you had a good life", family not happy with that line of thinking so ...here we are.

I know fat soluble vitamins are not recommended since he is on dialysis but since he still urinates unlike many dialysis patients was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience on adding. We have included everything I can think including MB12 injection, but still "light headed" and "dizzy" fatigue. Working to build him up for detox, started EDD, has anyone had experience with the 1-minute EDTA push and dialysis patients?

A1: in our experience patients on dialysis can use safely edta, we prefer to use the regual vial, but we do not find any problem to use the push, the same day that he is doing dialysis efrain olszewer

A2: Dr. Neustadt wrote the book Thriving through Dialysis (Dragon Arts Publishing, 2006) with Jonathan Wright, MD, so this may help. I haven't read it myself.
