Ordering ointments??

Q: Many thanks to Dr.Gordon and other greatly knowledgeable contributors. Where can I get the Iodine and Magnesium ointments? or how can it be made? Also, can anyone tell me if and where can I get DMSO liquid or ointment for topical use?

A1: Global Light http://www.globalLight.net has both the liquid iodine and the magnesium oil. Lugol's is another option for iodide. Any compounding pharmacist and most DVMs will have or be able to easily get the DMSO. Initial applications of the magnesium oil may be irritating. This can be remedied by applying olive, coconut or castor oil to the skin after applying the magnesium oil. Make sure to clarify to patients that magnesium oil is for topical use, not oral.
