Q: Male , age 48 , has recommendation for removal of one of his parathyroid glands which has received supposedly state of the art testing, and is non-functional.
He has had a history of frequent past kidney stones/ nothing currently but has been told he has excessive high calcium 12.1, and glucose is elevated at 106; Sodium is 10-20% high, and creatine level is elevated at 1.7, PSA is 2.0. He has a family history of diabetes.

He has been a weight lifter, not steroid driven, but daily intake of creatine i.e. (2 tbsp a day), and high protein intake. His reports indicate under-active thyroid, with medium /high Testosterone levels.

He is currently scheduled for surgery in 30 days, but willing to seek other plausible alternative in the interim. He is fearful of kidney failure due to high calcium counts which are not subsiding. Any recommendations, or referrals of successful interventions here? It appears, He will not be open to dental approaches, but will be open to well documented alternatives.

thanks
