CAM (complementary and alternative) therapies Education for Health Professionals
in Northern Thailand
A transformation in the way we practice medicine also requires changes
in medical education and training. That's why the Clinic supports a variety of
educational initiatives aimed at undergraduates, health professionals, medical students,
residents, holistic clinics, medical spa's/spas (spa courses) and faculty.
The clinic is currently in the midst of a revision of
its medical curriculum as part of our commitment to the best practice of
medicine. We are developing and teaching courses in the medical
practice, and are bringing an integrative perspective into the foreign
and the resident clinics.
We provide monthly presentations on CAM
(complementary and alternative) therapies to students and faculty in
order to facilitate the understanding of these therapies in an
integrative model of healthcare.

Research
In order to create a national model for integrative care, we must be
able to evaluate the effectiveness of the tools and approaches that we
use at our clinic and retreats and to determine their wider application.
Current grants allow us to assess the efficacy of various components of
our wellness-plan format, to answer the question of how to best support
patients in their wellness goals, to develop comprehensive strategies
for chronic conditions such as depression and
diabetes, and to look at
the influence of spirituality in the progress of
congestive heart
failure and its possible application to other chronic diseases.

Beware of Phishing Attacks!
There’s a new and wide spreading type of Internet piracy called 'phishing'
Phishers send fake web pages, pop-up messages, spam's, or
questionnaires, written to appear as if they have been sent by banks or
other reputable organizations, with the intent of luring the recipient
into revealing sensitive information, such as password, credit card
number or banking information, and to harvest such information for cash
withdrawal, credit card mail order, etc.
